This affordable housing initiative will provide tax relief to eligible senior homeowners with greater risk of displacement due to rising property taxes.
Mayor Dickens and his Administration are committed to making Atlanta a City of Opportunity for All, including strategic priorities for Housing/Neighborhood Empowerment.
The Administration is working to minimize the displacement of residents who are vulnerable to housing pressures such as rising property taxes.
The City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta are launching an anti-displacement program for legacy residents with $10 million of funding from the Centennial Yards Housing Trust Fund. For qualified applicants, the program will pay an increase in taxes above the homeowner’s base taxes, for a period of 20 years, if they continue to qualify for the program.
Detailed program information and application coming soon!
Invest Atlanta will conduct a webinar and two in-person information sessions prior to the July 17 launch date for homeowners interested in applying for the program.
